Most of the time the human spirit has the ability to move on despite adversity though sometimes it is badly affected that it leads a person into depression or some mental sickness

Spirit does have no affect of sorrow or happiness, It is always neutral, the impact of event is limited to our mind. The Jeev becomes happy or sorry.
