It's a dress code for smart turn out and it is white to remain and look clean and tidy. In Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi, the nurses agitated and demanded saris as their dress code. Being a Central Government hospital, the Government conceded to the demand to save the patients from an ugly situation in the past couple of years.
