When a Hindu prays, He prays to Akhilanda Koti Brahmanda Nayak . One verily the God Head, Infinity, eternity and Omnipotent. He prays and mediates for the experience of Cosmic Conscience where vast vistas dont overwhelm him. Mere intellectual willingness or open mindedness are not enough. Therefore the devotee yearns for enlargement of consciousness by certain practices as yoga, karma, service or the combinations of these and devotional bhakti and prepares himself for that liberating receipt of omnipresence unto him. The devotee holds Lords feet in a never ending love of prayers.
Then that liberating experience comes with a natural inevitability to the devotee. Probably, his intense craving begins to pull at God with an irresistible force. Then Lord is drawn into the consciousness of the devotee by that great magnitude of his ardour, discipline, single minded devotion.
Remember Lords Promise in Bhagawat Gita: The one who never losses sight of me, I never lose sight of Him
