Q.
(Contd from previous Q)
Since 1980, Gujarat has been Indias poster state on this growth story.
Modi had nothing to do with the worlds larges ship breaking yard in Bhav Nagar and nor with the setting up of the Ambani refinery in Jamnagar.
Quite before Modi, Gujarat accounted for 45% of Indias petroleum products, 18% of Indias cargo handling, 23% of our total requirement for crude oil and 30% of our natural gas needs from offshore basins. In addition, since 1990 Gujarat produces Indias 78% of salt, 98% of soda ash and 26% of countrys pharmaceutical products.
