The effect of HOME makes all lot of difference. The crowd, the cheering, the blessings of own family present in the stadium, etc. defintely give confidence to the players. All or most of these lack on a foreign land. In any case playing well brings the end result!

The conditions of the home pitch and the support of the home crowd both help to gain an edge over the opposition in home grounds if the teams are more or less balanced. Remember the same west Indies after their defeat by India in our first world cup win, made a 5-0 white wash when they toured India immediately after that. Here the result was opposite! Cricket is certainly an unpredictable game and that's one of its beauties.

Visitors are easy going when they go to foreign countries. So is the case with Indian cricketers. When they go abroad they party and enjoy late into night and care two figs because after all they are going to get no more money than what is contracted by the board. And there is no one from the press following them as the press is also taken care of. The same holds true to visitors to our land. Only local spectators spend money and they are worried about the country they support. The equation is simple.

Coz ...they practiced there and accustomed to their climate and people.
