Make a time table for him. Fix lot of time to play and some time to study. Tell him stories with moral lessons e.g. Jataka Tales, Stories of Akbar and Birbal etc. Let him watch TV programmes in which he can learn many things of nature. Discovery, National Geographic, Animal Planet, Eden are good channels. Children learn while playing. Let him play outdoor games so that he gets lot of exercise. That will also make him tired and he will want to eat. Give him nutritious food.

You cannot do this on your own..
Brilliance depends also on ones genes and application..
Be happy if he is good in his studies and is well behaved.
