Which is your favorite film from the black and white era?

The two most appealing movies of that era for me would be:
1. Bandini starring Ashok Kumar, Nutan and Dharemendra...the haunting song " O Jaane Waale Ho Sake To Laut Ke Ana" and 'O Majhi....' with music by S D Burman dada---as a tragedy.
2. Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi with Ashok, Kishore and Anoop Kumar and music by S D Burman--- as a comedy.
Now that the Q has been raised I find two names common in both the thespian Ashok Kumar and the musical maestro S D Burman !
