The persons who claims to be God do not even know what God is. God is invisible because He is in the most purified state. It is His purity that has made him invisible. Can a human being ever become pure to that extent. As human he is full of impurities that is why he is visible. He is beyond human perception. It is only the matter that is visible in this universe. Whatever is not matter is invisible. We say Avatar is the God incarnate. What is the difference between an Avatar, human and God. Avatar has God's essence in him in a minuscule quantity, whereas no human being has that essence. Only Avatar can conjoin with Go but cannot attain his status only after he departs from this earth and never before that.

You can become God -like if you can attain nirvikalpa samadhi like many great seers and saints have done. It is not impossible because all humans are potentially divine. The purpose of life is to manifest that divinity that is already withoin ourselves.

God is almighty. So one can not become God but may become a god like for some or many. Some others do not even become Godlike but they think they have become God (under the influence of Power)

No.A person may have a touch of the Divine,
To turn into Divinity itself in all its manifestations,
a person is too small and puny with a limiied range in knowledge and life.
