One of the most preferred books for electrical machines designing is Conventional and Computer Aided Design of Electrical Machineswritten by the Indian author K.G. Upadhyay. Another book that you may find worth reading is the Electrical Machine Design - The Design And Specification Of Direct And Alternating Current Machinery authored by Alexander Gray.
