Well I think i differ on that there are quire a few colleges in India which accept GMAT scores .Ofcourse ISB stands tall among those , other than that there is GIM, and there are certain executive MBA courses at some IIM's and institues like XLRI which accept GMAT score , other than THAT i guess S P Jain in mumbai also accept GMAT scores .Better visit the websites of these institutes for confirmation of what is being mentioned above.

No way buddy. In India, GMAT is required only for ISB. As a matter fo fact for one can also take admission in ISB,on the basis of his/her GRE or CAT score. Otehr that ISB no other school in India recognizes GMAT. IIM's only seeks CAT score and trust me. CAT is much much difficult than GMAT...
If you are an engineer GMAT is a piece of cake for you... and so is getting admission in any US B school ..
