I have this complaint against Kolkota. It had been acknowledged by Anand several times that his brothers team had been responsible for his crucial world championship victories in 2008, 2010 and now in 2012. In an informal talk about his decisive win in 2010 against Topolov, Anand singled out GM Surya Shekhar Ganguly out of his all seconds as the one who shaped up his preparation. Now, we all know GM S.S. Ganguly is a genius. He holds more than 400 top games in his head. Experts say that he is unparalleled when it comes to assessing the strength and weakness of the opponent and also virtually indefatigable. Kolkata, WB and whole India should have felicitated him and his team mates. Now, Mamta and sports loving Kolkotans should first felicitate him and treat him as one of the best Kolkatans ever. His sacrifice should be acknowledged publicly. Actually, in Madras, we held a big reception and felicitation for him last time when he visited here.
