Not exactly dear friend. Shona, is literally translated as 'gold'. It is a phrase used to name somebody you love, or a cute little kid, etc.

Yes SHONA is bengali word ...
also SHONA is Bantu language spoken in Zimbabwe....
and "Shona, is literally translated as 'gold'. It is a phrase used to name somebody you love, or a cute little kid, etc. " part of answer is correct ...

I heard this name many times in movies as the hero used to say for the heroin shona , darling , so i think it means like that
