The Prithvi-I is small (8.55 m) and was paraded in mobile launchers during India\'s Republic Day parade in January 1996. (2) The Surface-to-Surface Missile \'Privthi\' developed under the integrated Guided Missile Development Programme, was successfully test launched, for the 10th time on February 7, 1993. On 27 January 1996, India successfully tested the 250km-range version of its Prithvi SSM at the interim test range in Chandipur-On-Sea, Orissa. The Indian Air Force is developing the extended range Prithvi, which has a liquid propulsion system, an advanced inertial navigation guidance system, and a modern flight-control computer [1]. The test was the 15th of the Prithvi SSM to be conducted by India\'s Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). Mr. A.P.J.
