It is well known that Indians believe passionately in the theory of muhurts or auspicious times to perform sacraments, to make major purchases or to begin new ventures. Inspite of modern technology and changing lifeviews, this dedication to auspicious time is a prominent feature of Indian life. Akshaya Tritiya, the third day of the bright half of Vaishakh, is considered one of the four most sacred days of the vear.
The word Akshaya means that which never diminishes - hence beginnings made or valuables bought on this day are considered certain to bring luck and success. All over India people celebrate weddings, plan new business ventures, long journeys and other events on this day. Like Diwali, Dussera and Gudi Padva. Akshava Tritiva is reserved for buying gold, silver and other assets. On this day jewellers keep their shops open well into twilight time to entertain their buyers. Akshay means which will never exhaust.This day is treated as auspicious day and many lpeople purchase gold ,start new business etc. When Pandavas were in exile Lord Krishna gave Draupadi Akshya Patra so that they will face any problem for food during exile. On this day many people offer food and sweets to their dear and near ones who died.

Akshaya tritiya is one of the greatest day that Hindu will celebrate. The word Akshaya means (completely, full , ) on that day if anything is done That is related to god prayers ,chanting and all it will give full (samruddhi )phalam. It will be their for them. and on that day only simhachalam varaha Narsimha swami chandanotsavam will be performed. on that day Nija roopa darshanam can be seen. whihc is crore times Punya. Now a days it has become common that every one is buying gold that day not performing any pujas.

According to Hindu mythology, this is the day the world was created. This sis also the birthday of Parasuram. This day is considered very auspicious for marriage, acquiring gold or property or for starting any new venture or work.
