The main user of the currency (Sterling) based on the Pound is the United Kingdom where it originally was equivalent to a pound of silver.
St Helena, the Falkland Islands and Gibraltar also use a pound, in this case with the same value as the UK Pound.
Eqypt, Lebanon, Sudan and Syria use a pound unrelated to the UK Pound.
