Have all our deeds become self oriented or is it that still we do some deeds for the sake of someone's else benefit?

Many for the sake of own benefit and few for the sake of others ........... own benefits , includes for our family benefits too ........ others means apart from family, say for the sake of society/organization .........

For common man it is still making both ends meet that comes as first priority, but philonthaphy has not yet died. We still do our bits for others too once in a while.
