We should not make comparisions between Yuvraj and SRT. Yuvraj has been a genuine match winner for India in ODIs and T20s for years now. He alongwith Dhoni are two of the best finishers in the shorter version.
Unfortunately, Yuvraj has got limited chances in the Test arena as over the years the middle order was packed with Rahul, Sachin, Saurav and Laxman. Now that Rahul, Saurav, Laxman have retired and even Sachin is retiring, Yuvraj should get his place in Tests also alongwith Pujara and Kohli. Even if Yuvraj is given one slot, there is still one slot free and that should go to Rohit Sharma as it has been seen that Raina is vulnerable to the short delivery in the longer version and Jadeja is a bits and pieces player who will be of not much use in the tests.
