Hi, Anuja
wish you a very Happy Holi

nice to see your come back, was missing you a lot:-))

to me holi is different from all other festivals, because

The festival of Holi can be regarded as a celebration of the Colors of Unity & Brotherhood - an opportunity to forget all differences and indulge in unadulterated fun. It has traditionally been celebrated in high spirit without any distinction of cast, creed, color, race, status or sex. It is one occasion when sprinkling colored powder ('gulal') or colored water on each other breaks all barriers of discrimination so that everyone looks the same and universal brotherhood is reaffirmed. This is one simple reason to participate in this colorful festival.

more over holi is on fullmoon day than our other next most inmportant festival , whch falls on amavasya, ...more

Social Significance

Holi helps to bring the society together and strengthen the secular fabric of our country.... the festival is also celebrated by non-Hindus ... as everybody like to be a part of such a colouful and joyous festival. ..The tradition of the Holi is that even the enemies turn friends on Holi and forget any feeling of hardship that may be present.
And what could be better....the qworld and our life...is too small and insignificant to carry the burden of enemity and hatred...and if this festivity does help in bringing people closer....create a bit more of love and brotherhood...bonhomie...then that is of utmost significance for me.
