Never ! Sikhs by and large have rendered there best service to the Indian Socio Political & Administrtive setup.Prime Minister MMS is a man of moderate & intellectual bent of mind.At such a crucial point of time he carefully gives his statement to the international forum. His strategy should not be misinterpreted as softness.

Keep in mind that Jasjit Singh Arora could embark on the 1971 military quest because he had full blessings & even a guarantee of support from us lovable Commies (USSR). In 1971, when India was first preparing for military attack on the then East Pakistan, SEATO countries & the US threatened to bomb us & put sanctions on us.
The USSR's vetoing of sanction attempts, and the USSR's guarantee of intervention against US if they intervened against Pak is what enabled Lt. Gen Singh to score those impressive victories.
Times now have changed. Manmohan Singh ji is in charge of an India which has no guarantor if we embark on a military attack on Pakistan. India today is subservient to the USA, and that's not MMS' fault- that was the job of Narasimha Rao. Pak is US's biggest ally in South Asia....
So at present if we attack Pak, we lose out on favour w/ the US. And if sanctions get put by US, we'll get pretty crippled. In those days (71), we had USSR veto UN sanction ...more
