Inspite of convenience and chances to avoid the caustic eyes of bank tellers, few people take advantage of ATMs Is it because of lack of awareness in them or banks' disinterest in motivation ?

1.

Majority of the people use the ATM for cash withdrawal as it gets rid off the unsavoury hassles in the bank. Those who dislike the ATM facility are those 1) who are not well versed with the menu driven ATM opearations due to lack of knowledge of the english language 2) the occassional malfuctioning of the ATM 3) those who are too aged shy away from ATM because of failing eye sight, other physical debilities etc.4) Many who donot know how to use the Card due to lack of proper guidance, prefer to go to the bank. There are still many who donot know how to swipe a card, they insert the card into the slot of the machine and just wait endlessly.The Machine keeps on flashing "insert your card ". 5) In the earlier days when the ATM made its appearnce, many people had lost cash because they never saw the cash coming out at the bottom of the machine. All these arise because, there has been a wide gap between planning and execution of any new system, when introduced for the first time, causing unawareness among all concerned...!

It is same as using Mobile phone. It takes time to change the thought process of old people who are relied on older and safe system.
