When BJP was in power at the centre, they were in favor of 100% FDI in retail. Now when Congress has propsed to implement it, it is opposing it and even had called for Bharat Bandh. However, people like Yeshwant Sinha and Jaswant Singh, both having good knowledge of economics have not spoken on FDI. BJP boycotted the entire winter session of parliament due to Coalgate. There stand on Yedyurappa earlier and now Nitin Gadkari in defending him when charges of financial manipulation in his business companies is resulting in ruining the image of the party especially when they want to fight the next elections on the principle of corruption of the ruling party.
The starting of FDI in retail in Gujarat is a good step and will benefit the farmers in the state. But this diabolical stand of BJP is hurting the BJP more and more as people are already saying what is the difference between BJP and Congress
