I'm purposely stating only Indian dishes
Starters:
All kinds of kababs
Tikkis
Fish Fingers
Tikkas
Side Dishes:
Fried fish,Lamb Chops, Chicken Chops etc or even grilled non veg/veg dishes with a corresponding sauce.
The different bakes either white sauce based or tomato based
dry veggie preparations along with nans/rotis etc.
Main dishes
Gravy and rice based dishes all come under the main dish category along with dals.

Starters are generally fried items like Paneer Tikka, Pakoras, fish fingers, chicken tikkas etc;
Side dishes complement the main dish which includes, raitas, gravies etc
Main dish consists of meat in case of non-veg and vegetables, breads, rotis, rice etc

Side Dishes: Raita, Dahi Bhalla, Tava Vegetables etc
