Lord Chris Patten was trying to persuade the UK govt to ban people associated with VHP, Bajrang Dal and RSS from entering the UK. | "The government do not consider the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh or the Bajrang Dal as terrorist organisations," British Minister of State for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Lord Malloch-Brown told the House of Lords. "Neither organisation is proscribed in the UK or in India, nor do the Indian government classify either as a terrorist organisation," Malloch-Brown said in reply to a question by former cabinet minister Lord Chris Patten. | You may have noticed Chancellor of University of Oxford Lord Chris Patten's actress daughter Alice Patten in the Indian movie Rang De Basanti (with Soha Ali Khan.) Chris Patten went to the same Oxford College as Soha and her father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.

That's because the RSS, VHP & BJ aren't active in England & don't have representation in England. RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal aren't illegal in North Korean law, and neither is SIMI, for that matter. Does the VHP, BJ, RSS do in England whatever they do in India? I've seen RSS activist in USA, when they were protesting the use of Ganesha image on beach sandals by a Southern California company. When some police cars showed up, the activists immediately dispersed. I can tell u their behaviour is not exactly like that in India. Here, they go destroying public property worth many crores & go on rampages against hapless civilians for challenges thrown by Maoists.

As long as vote bank politics will be the main aim of our political leaders definition of all attractive words go on changing, Who is secular and who is communal depend on the perception of ruling party or the perception of the person who can deliver good lectures. Where has your conscience gone? You advise Sri Lankan Government to ensure safety of Tamils in SriLanka but you are unable to safeguard North Indians in Maharashtra despite the fact that in both the places, state as also at center, government is headed by Congress Party. You are afraid of threats of resignation given by Mr. Karunanidhi but not so much perturbed by the similar threat of Lalu and Paswan on the issue of North Indians. Is it a fact that Lalu and Paswan are playing foul game to ...more
