R. N. Tagore, The First Noble Laureate of India, read upto class VI in School.
But he had separate PRIVATE TEACHERS for Music, Instrument, English, German, French, Maths & Science with endless- self-studies, on all subjects.

Yes, there are many with degrees but do not have much knowledge other than the particular subject they learn for that degree

Yes. he can become a knowledgable person without any degree.... one example of maharashtra... sahitya ratna annabhau sathe... the great writer has gone only one and half day in school due to lower caste and rebel nature... he has written 36 novels, kavan, powade and mazi russia wari... pravas varnan... he was famous loksahir.. travelled throughout maharashtra... fighted for sanukt chalval.... can u believe it... the man who has gone in school only for one and half day...has achieved this much.. salute to him. i read his one novel fakira... very good to read. one picture has made on it.

The only noble prize winner of India in literature , had no degree and do you know common factor amongst Bill gates needs no introduction , Michael Dell Founder/CEO, Dell ,Paul AllenCo-Founder, Microsoft ,Mark Zuckerberg Founder and CEO, Facebook,Ralph LaurenCEO, Polo Ralph Lauren,Steve Jobs Founder, Apple ,Micky Arison CEO, Carnival ,Richard Branson Founder and CEO, Virgin Group ,Alfred Taubman,Founder, Taubman Centers ,Richard SchultzFounder/Former CEO, Best Buy ??.....they were school or college drop outs :))
