The first ever 0ne Day International Cricket match was played between Australia and England at the MCG in Melbourne, Oz on 5th January, 1971.
G. Boycott of England was the first batsman to face the first ever ball bowled in the history of One Day International Cricket. It was bowled by Graham McKenzie.
