Generally people write comments on article at rediff , with some discussions, to whom it is useful , a) writer b) to the person or group about which the article is ? c) reader d) or you think that there should be only standard selectable comments so that further opinions can be sorted .e) any other .

Comment to an article is often to point out some additional useful points and or some minor mistakes or confusion in the idea. Naturally the commenter gets bit of attention and the original writer and readers, the additional benefit.
