Around a week after his unfortunate demise on 12th January 2005, he was seen last in Kisna. After that the veteran actor was not seen in any other film. Around 20 months after his death, he was be seen on the big screen again in Kachchi Sadak, a film by Sanjay D Singh. Kachchi Sadak stars Rahul Singh, Parmita Katkar and Madhoo along with host of character artists like Mukesh Tiwari, Rahul Dev, Aman Verma, Govind Namdeo, Sharat Saxena, Tinu Anand and Anant Jog.
An added attraction about the film was a special appearance by Mithun Chakraborty. Made under the banner of Jia Entertainment Network Pvt. Ltd.,
Amrish Puri plays a jailor who deals with the main criminals inside and outside the jail. The film revolves around the life of liquor barons of North India. The feud in the family as well as with the politicians forms the main plot of the film. Also, the movie throws light on the wrong influence of liquor on the youth.
