Swaran Singh was the External Affairs minister under Nehru's cabinet. Nehru always used to complaint about the stinking smell of socks Swaran Singh was wearing during cabinet meeting. Swaran Singh took it serious and was wearing a brand new socks in the next cabinet meeting. Still the same smell was hitting the nose. Again Nehru complained of the bad smell on which Swaran Singh swung in action to show the new socks in legs and old in his pockets!
