In case his opinions are not helpful, he should not be given so much importance or press coverage.
But if he has Indian PIO card or visa or Indian citizenship, why should he be stopped from entering in India? Is he suspected criminal or terror monger?
If he is invited for literary meet in Jaipur, the organizers must have found him worth it.
Let go. Take it easy.

Should he be or should not he be .. is not the question now. Who is objecting and who are inducing them to do so matters. Congress has appeased the Muslim community of special reservation before the U.P. elections. BJP is conceived to be opposing the minority community. The one party that has some support of Muslims is Samajwadi party headed by Mulayam Singh. In order to garner more of this vote bank, I think, it is the S.P. who are inducing the Muslims to raise their protests against Salman Rushdie, who is coming to India on a literary mission. The UPA government will not stop him from entering India and by the way Rushdie has said that he is an Indian and he does not need a visa to enter his birth country.
