We had three Muslim Presidents so far. Our present PM is a Sikh. Any more proof needed to establish the fact that religion has never been a limiting factor for any Indian citizen to reach the top?

India is a free country and one only has to think of India is My country. Be proud of the country and anyone can be anything one wishes for. If a muslim wants to be the Prime minister than his thoughts should be Indian, and not half baked, like some have saying Pakistanis are better, arab world is better etc.

Ours is a secular country. Once, person like Jakir Hussain, Fakaruddin Ali Ahmed became the 1st citizen (President) of our Nation and it is proved that they had always been tried to save the interest of our country. If the Parliament could select one Muslim leader as the Prime Minister of India, I do not find any reason what so ever to oppose or disrespect it. Thanks

We are not a religious republic we are constitutionally a Socialist 1 so yea Muslim can become PM. Actually, India's nuclear destiny was headed by a Muslim by the nam of APJ Abdul Kalam, and nuclear secrets are FAR more sensitive than PM post. If Muslim can become chief of our nuclear Research then surely a Muslim can become PRez.

Thing is most Muslims AND HINDUS AND CHRISTIANS think only of their community and not of the nation.
