Every religion has many inherent qualities and that is why people get attracted to it. But with passage of time, the greed of power and wealth of the keepers of the religion starts distorting the religion and it has happened in every religion and it creates revolt. First such instance was probably Buddhism. After that Hinduism had no revolt but reforms. But many wrong practices continue. Islam and Buddhism got divided into many sects. Christianity created Protestants. But during its birth there were unprecedented violence, killings and bloodshed, which did not happen with other religions. Why

To be frank with you sir, religion is superbly maintained if it's kept from the workings of public life & LEGISLATION. Speaking of "sects" well u haf ppl in regions like Kara kum which are more mystical, and u have people who followed Islam in say- Egypt or Saudi who would not be so mystical.

Then sometimes, value systems clash, as Islam in the Middle East will NEVER permit mysticism whereas say- a Central Asian / Samarkadi (in Indian term) ----mysticists are a central part of HISTORY and CULTURE as they were BEARERS OF HISTORY. IF a power Egyptian / Mid Eastern Caliph's tried to say- forcefully remove, Kara Kum folk would respond by WRECKING the silk road commerce route by raiding them to no limits.

The powerful followers have started using religion for personal power, greed and wealth due to which original principles have been forgotten givng use of violence and hated amongst others though basic principles of any religion never preach so.

A true religion should consist of holistic practices and not to change masses... masses never change.. only few people will change... if you start changing masses, the ruling class will think that you want to grab power... so you will be opposed and tortured... ask for details of holistic practices to clean sins....kumrao99@yahoo.co.in
