They are doing a lot of work on the international airport of Mumbai. This is going on for the last two years. It is essential that the operational equipment is upgraded to international level and last equipment is installed. It will affect the passengers but we need to bear this inconvenience if we want improvement.
I will travel from Heathrow to Delhi to Goa instead of Heathrow/Mumbai/Goa. It is high time they operate direct flights from London to Goa and back. For the time being, there are no direct flights on this route except chartered flights from Gatwick to Goa and back.

It seems to be unavoidable for better cause.
Mumbai airport authorities say the situation is unavoidable and all stakeholders, including aviation regulator DGCA, are taken into confidence prior to the commencement of the work.
"This is something which is unavoidable. But we have informed all the stakeholders and have also taken all the factors into consideration and chosen the best time of the year to keep the risks to the minimum," an airport official said.
