India is in emergent need to adopt judicial reform as public trust and confidence in Indian judiciary is at its nadir. This is so because the huge backlog of cases is increasing on the one hand and the efficiency of the courts is decreasing on the other. Comments plz.
If there is not an urgent, immediate and holistic judicial reforms drive in India, the judicial system of India is going to collapse. There is an emergent need to not only bring transparency and fairness in the judicial dealings in India but also to train and make the judicial officers more competent and up to date. It is high time to do something lest people of India loose their faith in Indian judiciary absolutely. With continuous adjournments and delayed decisions, justice in the country has come to a stand still. The situation has become acute to the extent that none other than the Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh, called it a "scourge". Probably this is the strongest term which has been used so far for this problem. It should be remembered that in the absence of an efficient judiciary, it is impossible to build a functioning democracy. Judicial delays create cynicism among citizens about the efficacy of our institutions in dispensing justice in a free and fair manner. Go

There could be entire new system recruiting those who has passion to work with speed in such system ,which can be named like Gen Next Courts , some old or retired people can work to share their experience, subsequently there main responsibilty is to establish faith in such systems, allowing transperancy,I think computerisation may also be possible based on the data of similar cases what could be the justice , for similar situations give opions to lawer convincing his view to both parites, once the justice is accepted ,it is to be regiestered with courts,This may be one idea for general cases there can be expolring possibilites of new ways to get satisfaction of people ,
