We already had so many agencies to act on cases of commission and omission, some of them being the CBI, CVC but corruption could not be controlled. This is because corruption percolates from top to down and unless political parties do not nominate corrupt people as their candidates for elections and people refuse to vote for them, corruption will continue.
Whether Lokpal Bill will be effective in killing the demon of corruption is not sure although it will add to lot of expenditure to make it work. This could be just another ineffective giant!
The credit goes to all those who pursued it, specially Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal and his accomplices, all leaders of political parties except the SP and Shiv Sena who opposed it.
