These points are a clear INDICATOR HOW THE COUNTRY MEASURE THE VALUES OF HUMAN BEINGS.. THE GOVERNACE AND THE FORESIGHTNESS OF THE CONSTITUTION FRAMERS.. IT IS ABSOLUTELY A BIG SLAP OF PEOPLE OF OUR COUNTRY... IT IS REALLY A BIG SHAME...

1) Serving Pizzas is a business and if you are late you will loss the business. And hence you always employ enough staff to deliver them. But police and ambulances are in shortage and even at this shortage 25% of the police personals are diverted to other duties.
2) In most cases car loan is a secured one where as the educational loan is an unsecured one. Do you know educational loan is the only loan available for a teenager without any payslip of his/her parents and only on her mark and admission card? Also now educational loans are available interest free to economically poor( Those families with an yearly income of Rs 75000/00)
3) An educational degree is just a qualification for a job. Do you know most of the corrupt politicians have masters degree ?
There are shortcomings in many of our systems but still I dont think the politicians and other bureaucrats are the cause of it. The cause for many of our ills lies with us the common man.

Well, Kal these are some of the points that I used to fume whenever a chance comes. Many times many of my answers here has the reflection of these points, in a way or so.
Well, many say that pizza is a business and so they use enough ways to deliver it. If it itrue, why the same cannt be applied for the ration shops also? The rationed provisions can be sold like that and thereby give opportunity of employment to many across the country. But why no leader come forward to that except only one from Chennai,- Vijaykanth, who offered this system in his election manifesto, at the same time criticized by other parties.
The same concept goes to car loan also, even though it has the depreciating value. But whereas the education only has an appreciating values!! Still these are ignored !!
With regard to the educational qualifications to manage the country, lesser we say the better as you know that many who participate to run the country has just bought the degrees..

So my dear Kal, what do ...more

You have a very valid point here going by the way things are as it exists in our country.

Pizza boys are given a two wheeler where they are told to race as if they are running for their life to meet the dead line that they keep advertising in media to get more to order and be satified with the service - which means they need to get it fast. In the process, they endanger the very lives of their employees, on which the Courst have put strictures that they wouldn't be penalised for late delivery.

An ambulance can never get its way through. Our civic sense and our sensibilities are such that, we dont find it convenient to slow down, move to the side or make way for an ambulance that for all we know may be carrying a patient for whom every minute counts.

Police has no time or inclination to listen to your woes and have to be convinced of the importance of the crime to even make them consider your report.

Yes, for all the hype ab out education loan it is a real pain to go thro ...more

Right U R dear. That's a big tragedy. Unless there was no attack on 5 Star culture, govt and the citizens of Metros were unconcerned. It was only after Mumbai Taj & Oberoi Attack, people of showed solidarity and lit candles. But there is no one for Bomb Blasts and Naxalite attacks in remote parts of the nation.

You and I are asking the question now after 61 year ...! In 1947, Gandhi thought that every Indian should get the chance to rule the country, irrespective of education, financial status, caste creed and community. His team mates...down right patriots..also endorsed his views without a long range perspective, despite witnessing the greed for power and money from the second line political leaders down... That was how the Constitution of India was designed with full of loop holes, enabling clever diabolical-minded politicians to get unlimited power and to make unlimited money without speed breakers or restrictive punitive clauses with the minimum of capital punishment to hang the erring politicians misusing their powers or making money or wasting public money...There should definitely be some basic qualification-level in general political history or some great experience like working for tsunami victims or aiding terrorism victims or something so that the prospective politicians can hav ...more
