Menka Gandhi Loves Animals and protects them shelters them. Unfortunately she does not love Human beings. She taught her son how to kill people of other religion. If she would have been good Hindu she never would have raised her son that way. He has got his Surname Gandhi from his Grandfather Feroz Gandhi. He is not related to Secular Mahatma Gandhi.

INDIRA GANDHI - Daughter of Jawahar Lal and Kamala Kaul. Her real name was MAIMUNA BEGUM. She was a practicing muslim throughout her life. She was once invited to Mecca by the King of Saudi Arabia. Matter of fact none of the Gandhi's in news these days has anything to do with M.G
That said, having Gandhi as surname, and proclaiming it loudly at the drop of a hat, is like having professional certification like a PMP or CFA - guarantees a job :)
