Q.

Ever tried to hear whisper of the winds? ever tried to understand the language of sparrows and butterflies? ever took time to look at the millions of stars in the night sky and thought why do they twinkle? we have high knowledge and huge salaries.....don't u think while amassing this two, we lost the capacity to touch other lives!

Yes, this is the poem:',

Our Grandmothers

BY MAYA ANGELOU

She lay, skin down on the moist dirt,
The canebrake rustling
with the whispers of leaves, and
loud longing of hounds and
the ransack of hunters crackling the near branches.

She muttered, lifting her head a nod toward freedom,
I shall not, I shall not be moved.

Beautiful philosphy aptly worded. We all need time to think, to dream and to wonder. Nature can free our minds of all the unnecessary clutter that seems to fill in our minds in this jet and net age as we confine ourselves in cities filled with concrete jungles.
Just today met an old employee who retired from service in ninteen ninty nine. He told us that he lives in his village in UP and looks after agriculture fields of his sons. Even at the age of seventy five he looked absolutely fit to which another of our colleagues remarked that since he is living close to nature, his health is automatically maintained. And here I am at the age of forty five taking medicines for hypertension
