Meenakshi Amman Temple. If you go there you can see 63 small idols placed and saluted by Bakthas there. They are called 63 Nayanmars, chosen by God Siva. All category bakthas are there . One of the Baktha from Sudra caste was Thiru Neelakanda Yazhppana Nayanar. Because of Brahmins caste mentality-sadly still prevailing- he was not allowed to enter into the Temple . He used to stand outside the Tower, Gopuram and sing praising Meenakshi Amman. Madurai Meenakshi appeared in priests' dreams and ordered them to bring in him.
Meenakshi tried Her best to eliminate caste evil. Siva tried His best to wipe out caste. Mahavishnu , the SriRanganathar tried His best to teach Brahimins to discard caste . Alas, these people are so evil that even Gods fail in correcting them!
