Income from advertisments is not bad but Board Should take all the money generated by way of advertisments. It should be given to the playeres only after they perform well in the game. There should be no direct contact between the player and the advertisment . Board itself should regulate the advertisments and all the money of cricket. And Board should take all the responsibility of performance in various tournaments.

I agree our cricketers are stars first and loaded with money which has spoilt the game. Imagine a millionaire cricketer like a Sachin or a Saurav or now even a Yovraj getting out cheaply for say less than 10 runs in either a Test match or a One Day match. Do they deserve the kind of money that is being showered on them. Are they talented really ?? There is little of skill involved in a team game unlike an individual sport like Tennis or Table Tennis. The players in these games really sweat it out irrespective of their outcome. What do a Sharath Kamal get for his exploits ?? Nothing really. The government, the media and the glamour world are all to blame. Just see his skills on the table to enjoy a real sporting event. Cricket will be consigned to dust bins if real good matches in Table Tennis are telecast more and talked about more in the electronic media. The corporate world should also wake up and sponsor such talented players, instead of whiling away their time and money on ...more
