I recived my Provident Fund ammount yesturday from Electrolux Kelvinator Ltd, & was unhappy as 30 % plus INCOME TAX WAS DEDUCTED FROM THE PF AMMOUNT.I was always given to understand that PF is not taxable. Than i mailed the concern person who replied. That its a PF TRUST & My PF becomes taxable as i served below 5 yrs. CAN U PLEASE CLARIFY as i was always under the impression that Govt exempts Income Tax on the only savings from our hard earned money.

The rules are different for different entities and if you still have doubts, pl. consult a it consultant.

P.f. is not taxable, you checkout, some thing is wrong there.

No income tax is deductible on P F
