Q.

Preserving the temple treasure is a big job before the temple authorities. Its an Himalayan Task, before them. How they are going to safeguard the treasure is the question before every citizen and every devotee of Lord Padmanabhaswamy. The one thing which they have to do right now and the foremost thing is that no corrupt politicians must be allowed near the treasure. Round the clock security must be there around the temple. There are chances, having seen in Hollywood movies, burglars try to dig a tunnel parallel to the temple safe and try to enter the safe and loot everything. -Comment

Like the Tirupathy devasom did, let the treasure be entrusted with the bank's custody and fully insured as deposit and earn interest.Only the essential items meant for pooja etc can be kept at the Temple's strong box with the modern technology.

Overnight, the Padmanabha temple has become the richest temple in India (75000 Cr even before the last of the treasure store is opened; Tirupathi is said to have asset worth 52000 Cr). This brings lot of challenges with it and unless guarded properly, 100s of Rajas and Kannis will go underground, replace the genuine material with the brass ones and walk away before others notice !

It has become a HUGE problem indeed. 90,000 crores and still counting ! This is only the estimated market worth at current prices. Most of it has antique value, if that is taken into account the real worth cud be many times this amount. Citizens are already on alert here. Armed guards are in place. A decision will be taken after the whole treasure is unearthed !

Sir,You are very right so I totally agree with you.But how to keep away the people in power from such a treasure? is a big question.Earlier the temple authorities take some serious steps to safeguard the invaluable treasure which has a message to pass on to the world about the rich cultural heritage of India that was looted by the foreign invaders like the Moguls, the British and the others in the past. This also help us to understand the missing links of Indian heritage and culture. So,it is important to keep away the corrupt away from this treasure and preserve it as it is for posterity with more security.
