A simple comparison between the music of early seventies and that of today's will make the matter more transparent.In the early seventies, music could sooth our heart very easily due to the balance of tunes,lyrics, playback-singers ,no exaggeration in any field of music became apparent.I think no one can forget the mesmerising music of Ravi, Shankar-Jaikishan,S.D/R.D. Burman,laxmikant-Pyrelal,Naushad & lots more.Lyricists like Majrooh Sultanpuri,Shailedra,Anjan,Naxlalpur etc. wrere very hearttouching but not exaggerating.About playback singers, everyone had one,s own distinct way of performance, so we can never forget Latalji,Ashaji,Md.
