It is a similar Politburo like the Chinese Communist Part Politburo, only and very significant difference being that the India's CPM Politburo is incapable of inspiring it's cadres to work harder to build wealth and then demand for that wealth (rather they inspire them to loot whatever wealth is existing, so that they can lead a peaceful life later). They are basically a bunch of people who can only talk much and pose themselves as intelligencia rather than asking their cadres to work hard. They do not understand practicallity and still beleives that the World order can evelove only through communist philosopy.

In Bengali language Buro means elderly person, so politburo means a political platform dominated by Buros. In other words, communism means Burocracy a la gerontocracy.

We can describe CPM in this way. Corrupted People In Marxist-CPI(M) = CPM. It is group of people who just sit and talk big things but act little. They talk loud about Andhra firing but forget about West Bengal firing. Talk big about ADB loan in Kerala, but keep mum in West Bengal. Talk big about corruption but their own people in Kerala take bribe (or bonds) in lakhs and crores but still the so called politburo does nothing. Talk loud about encroachments, but their own party and members encroaches the Govt. land but party keeps mum. Talk against US, but the same party gave permission to Coca Cola in Kerala. Messed up the education in Kerala. See the condition of roads in Kerala. All other states are developing, but CPM ruled states developing backward (ofcourse WB is an exception - kudos to Buddadeb). Follow one policy in WB, another one in Kerala.
