With elections away within an year, and with a win in Karnataka Congress is keen to do damage control and wants to erase the little memory with the voters about its scams. By dismissing the ministers it is trying to project a clean image. Every one knows that the case against these ministers even if they are charge sheeted(which is highly unlikely) will end in walking free from the law.

With Karnataka in their Bag now Congress is trying to place themselves as a Saviour of the Nation by sacrificing two ( light weight )ministers they are trying to project a good image about the party and leadership as the election is just not far away ! !
It means who ever is guilty they won't be spared and CBI is not used as a Caged Parrot and not to hound ONLY the opposition party and it can act on its own even against the present central ministers-if they have proof -This way Congress had scored a point or two !!
