The South Pole which includes Antarctica experiences only one sunset (around March 21) and one sunrise (around September 23) per year.

Depends on exactly which part of it you mean but around the south pole that's right. It's around the spring and autumn equinoxes for the southern hemisphere that it rises and sets.
