The coterie that surrounds the Gandhi family has taught him that India is a country of poor people living in villages and it is from these votes that they gain victory. But now even the village voters have become intelligent as they now have access to technology through mobile phone, televisions and some villages through which the national highways have passed have automatically developed. It is expected that within half of the population of India will live in urban areas and villages which are on the periphery of big cities are slowly getting converted to small cities as builders are now making housing societies there due to which there is development. Many villagers these days dont send their children to the village govt schools, but to the English medium schools even though these are ten km away from their villages. Thus the villagers these days are also very aware and will vote on development issues and not the 'Garibi hatao' slogan of Rahul Gandhi
