To none - out of choices you suggested. It is price tag and Tata Brand power which made it so popular even before the launch.

Credit for popularity of Nano goes to Ratan Tata himself. Though he has inherited the great Tata empire he has not contributed anything much to its growth. Thanks to the team of Professional that JRD had nurtured that Tata is still a leading business house in India. Most of the projects that were championed by Ratan has not done well till date. For instance Nelco which was probably Ratan's first venture was a disaster. Tata's performance in passenger car segment like Indica has been disappointing. A big pre launch Hype was done for Indica but it has failed to live upto its expectation. Now Nano has been launched with tall claims with price being the USP. It is to be seen when on road, Nano is really a car or just an Autorickshaw with four wheels and a steering. Nano was already popular from the build up that Tata's have projected even before either Mamta Didi or Narendra Modi stepped into the ring.

The man himself . The best and most respected face of Indian industry . He has shown to the world that Tata Motors can produce the world's cheapest car. He set up a challenge for himself and through myriads of obstacles he persited with dignity, sobriety and foresight to accomplish this feat . Nano launch is an event of historic proportions , it has the potential to change the landscape of world automotive industry. No great credit to politicians except Modi did alott the land for the work to go on .Ms Mamta B's ill-thought protest cost the company reportedly Rs.1700 crores .
