India does provide conducive environment to artistes in the sense they can approach judiciary and have their rights protected when vested interests interfere with their rights. Often religious and political groups interfere with their freedom like in the case of MF Hussain . But such interference should not be seen as negatively as there is always legal and other remedies available for them. To say such interference should never occur is not childish.
