What is the difference between Director General of Police and Director General of Prosecution?

The director gen.of police is the highest police officer ,whereas,the director gen. prosecution is highest officer in charge of prosecution, who is entrusted with prosecution of criminals before criminal courts.

Director General of Prosecution? In India? I dont heard about it?May be you got confused with Public prosecutor?
