Low frequency waves gives rise to bass effect (like tabla, Dholki etc.). High frequency waves gives rise to treble effect like violin, guitar etc.
if high pitch sound means high bass effect, then yes. but, normally high pitch sound is associated with the term high frequency waves i.e. treble effect.
